About Chi Chi's Bakehouse

Chi Chi's Bakehouse pronounced Gi-Gi's Bakehouse is a home-based bakehouse located in Perth, Western Australia.

The name is inspired of Vietnamese origin, 'Chi' generally meaning 'older sister or elder female.' Being the eldest grandchild, all my cousins growing up have called me 'Chi.' So when my younger brother was born he decided to change things up a bit and call me 'Chi Chi,' thus the name Chi Chi's Bakehouse was born. That's why you will see asian inspired flavours scattered across our desserts. A little homage to my heritage.

I am self-taught and have always had a huge love for baking. I first started in the baking scene with my small business 'Cookies By C.' I decided after 2 years of running Cookies By C with over 2000 followers, I would share more than just cookies and create a baked goods menu filled with unique flavours and creative designs. 

I've always aspired to run my own business, even when I was younger I knew I wanted to be my own boss. I've finally taken the leap, quitting my casual job and diving head first - I couldn't of done it without my family and my amazing partner.

Hoping to one day open up my own shop in Perth. I am committed to providing deliciously unique baked goods from the comfort of my home. I thank everyone who has supported me in my little adventure and I hope you stick around.
